Accommodation
There are three dressing rooms, 2 with showers accommodating approx 18 in total. Tea and coffee making facilities and a water cooler are located on the dressing room floors. A rehearsal room can also be used as a third dressing room which can accommodate approx 14 (n.b. This room does not have the typical dressing room facilities and needs to be booked well in advance)
Get in
There is an area to the side of the Theatre with removable bollards and directly adjacent to the Dock doors for the loading and unloading of vehicles. Vehicles left unattended in this area will be liable to penalties. The Get-in is at a slight angle from the road and is accessed by a ramp to the stage. Some lifting is required over the curb and door sill
Visiting Companies
There is a stage management room with steel sink and hot and cold water situated at the rear of the stage.
Washing Facilities
A front loader washing machine and condenser tumble dryer are located close to the second floor dressing room. An iron and ironing board are available.
Please note that there is no stage door at the theatre and access to the backstage area is via the box office staff on your initial arrival at the venue.
Theatre Royal Winchester is a non-smoking establishment.
Follow the one way system into Winchester town centre, at the top of George St. turn right into Jewry St. We're 200 yards along Jewry St. on the left hand side.
