The fifth concert in the Festival continues the Festival's exploration of the music of Franz Schubert. Performed in the atmospheric setting of St Lawrence Church, it features the sublime yet bleak 'Death and the Maiden' quartet, one of the cornerstones of the chamber music repertoire.

This event forms part of the London Bridge Ensemble's eagerly awaited fifth celebration of chamber music and song. It features masterpieces of the repertoire but also rarer gems which will surprise and delight you. There are six concerts, a masterclass for talented local musicians and schools outreach led by Festival animateurs Sam Glazer and Jack Ross, culminating in the popular informal public sharing. Each year there are new elements, this time an open rehearsal and talks/discussios to build on the informality and intimacy that Festival audiences have grown to cherish.
