We accept bookings by post, phone, in person or online and welcome payment by cash, cheques, all major credit cards, debit cards and Theatre Tokens.

Unfortunately it is not possible for us to accept payments of less than £5.00 by credit or debit card or by cheque. There is an administration charge of £1.25 per transaction on all bookings made using credit and debit cards.

Please enclose details of the performance required with your chosen method of payment. Please supply a telephone number in case we have a query.

By Phone

Telephone Theatre Royal Winchester Box Office on (01962) 840440. Telephone bookings can be paid for by credit card or by sending us a cheque. Please note that telephone reservations are only held for three days or until 12 noon on the day of the performance whichever is sooner. If payment is not received in time your tickets may be re-sold. On the day of the performance telephone bookings will only be accepted with a credit card. Please note that for the hour before a performance commences priority will be given to customers collecting tickets, in person, for that performance.

In Person

Theatre Royal Winchester Box Office is open Mon-Fri 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and on Saturday 10a.m. – 5 pm. (or until 15 minutes after an evening performance starts). The Box Office will only open on Sundays if there is a performance.

Online

Please be aware that the following additional charges apply to online bookings. £1.00 a ticket convenience fee plus £1.00 transaction fee for the whole booking.

Posting of Tickets

If you wish for your tickets to be posted please enclose an SAE or add 60p to total payment.

Data Protection

When processing your booking our box office staff will ask for your name, address and telephone number. This information is required for administration purposes and may be used to keep you informed of forthcoming events.
We may pass your details on to other, carefully selected organisations. The LIve Theatre Winchester Trust Limited is a registered charity and we occasionally contact our audience as a part of our fundraising activities. Please let us know if you do not want your details to be used in one or any of these ways and your wishes will be respected.

Exchanges and Resales

The exchange of tickets to a different performance of the same show is subject to a charge of £1.00 per ticket.
If you are unable to attend a performance for which you have booked the Box Office will try to re-sell your tickets, although the selling of any unsold seats must take priority. There is a service charge of £1.00 for each ticket resold.

Concessions

All relevant concessions must be requested when tickets are purchased. Refunds cannot be made later.

Only one discount applies per ticket. All offers are subject to availability. Please discuss your requirements with the Box Office, who will ensure you receive the best possible discount.

Students, Under 16s, Benefit Claimants and those in receipt of State Pension

Tickets for most performance are available at £5.00. These seats are in the front two rows of the auditorium and are subject to availability and advance booking. £2.00 off all other prices.

Groups

For groups of 8 or more a 10% discount will be available at most performances.

Family Tickets

Family tickets will be available on selected shows. This will be a joint ticket based on a group of four, at least one of whom must be an adult and one a child.

School and Colleges

School group ticket prices are usually shown in the brochure. There is a free teacher ticket with every 8 tickets paid. Where no group price is shown the standard £2 off and free ticket for teachers applies. Reservations of 8 tickets or more are subject to a cancellation fee. Reservations cancelled or reduced less than 10 working days prior to the performance/event booked for will be charged 50% of the total value of the tickets affected.
